This blog is written and produced by Chase McCoy in Starkville, Mississippi.

I am a seventeen year old nerd who is a senior in high school, the Business Editor for the school’s yearbook, and also heavily involved in the drama department. I have an outstanding taste in music, and yes, I am a snob about coffee.

I will be attending Mississippi State University in the fall of 2013 to major in Computer Science.

This blog is where I spill my thoughts and opinions on topics related to technology, design, Apple, writing, and other nerdy things that interest me.

Design

The body for this site is set in Open Sans, and the headlines are set in Donegal One. This site is designed to remain readable in mobile browsers. If you notice any problems with the layout or design of this website, please contact me.

The Setup

The blog is proudly powered by WordPress.

All posts for this site are written on either my 2012 13” MacBook Air, my black iPhone 4S, or my iPad mini. I use Byword or iA Writer to write in John Gruber’s excellent Markdown syntax.

When I get ready to publish my posts on my Mac, I use MarsEdit. When I want to publish on my iPhone or iPad, I use Poster. Images are edited using Pixelmator.

I use a variety of tools to get things done. Some of them include Evernote, OmniFocus, Tweetbot, Keyboard Maestro, and Brett Terpstra’s nvALT.

This site is Minted, of course.

Even though I enjoy using these tools, I also enjoy using analog equivalents. I have a slight obsession with stationery, and my pen collection continues to grow larger as my wallet grows smaller. No matter what pen I am using, I write on a Field Notes memo book. You can see my collection of Field Notes here.
